To celebrate, we're doing things a little differently for this special edition!

🕺🏾💃🏾 We will have ONE HOUR of Kizomba class. Perfect if it is your first time. No partner needed!

🎉🥳 Then the celebration begins! The rest of the afternoon will be GAMES, FOOD, SOCIALISING & PARTY! - come to dance, laugh, eat, and celebrate one year of LGBTQ+ Kizomba Birmingham with us.

1. What is Kizomba?

Kizomba is a beautiful, partner-based dance from Angola, known for its smooth steps, close connection, and soulful music.

2. Do I need a dance partner?

No partner required! We'll rotate partners during the class, so you'll get to dance with different people.

3. Do I need any prior dance experience?

Not at all - this event is beginner-friendly. We'll cover the basics step by step.

4. What should I wear?

5. What's included in the ticket price?

Your ticket covers the Kizomba lessons and entry to the social dance afterwards.

6. What kind of music will be played?

We'll enjoy authentic sounds: Semba, Kizomba, Tarraxinha, RNB and more!

7. Is the event LGBTQ+ only?

The event is designed especially for the LGBTQ+ community, but allies who come with respect are welcome.

8. Where exactly is the venue?

It's a central space with plenty of room for dancing.

9. Is there parking nearby?

Yes. There is on-site parking and street parking.

10. What time should I arrive?

Class starts at 2.30pm, but we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to check in and get settled in.

11. Will there be refreshments?

Yes

12. Do I need to bring anything with me?

Just yourself, a positive vibe, and maybe a bottle of water! We are doing a bring a share so bring soft drinks, alcohol and nibbles.
