On Wednesday 12 August, we’re taking over the rooftop for a very special Solar Eclipse Watch Party — with panoramic views across the city, music, drinks and a front row seat to one of the biggest astronomical events of the year.

The rooftop opens from 4pm, with the eclipse beginning shortly after 6pm.

With uninterrupted skyline views across Leeds, Rooftop Social is the place to experience the changing light, atmosphere and spectacle as the Moon passes across the Sun.

Grab a drink. Find your spot. Put your eclipse glasses on. And watch the sky do something pretty incredible.

IMPORTANT: ECLIPSE VIEWING SAFETY

We strongly recommend that everyone attending brings proper solar eclipse viewing glasses compliant with the ISO 12312-2 safety standard.

Regular sunglasses are not suitable for looking directly at the Sun.

As the eclipse will remain partial from Leeds, suitable eclipse glasses or another approved solar viewing method should be used at all times when looking directly at the Sun, including at maximum eclipse.
