The Heavy North is an independent, six-piece garage blues-rock outfit from Liverpool. Our sound pairs a heavy, soulful, vinyl-ready energy with contemporary indie grit—landing directly For Fans Of The Black Keys, Jack White, and Alabama Shakes.
Formed in late 2018, The Heavy North released their critically-acclaimed debut studio album 'Electric Soul Machine' in 2022 and in recent years the band have caught the attention of BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, Radio X, BBC Introducing, Classic Rock Magazine and Tim's Twitter Listening Party.
Whilst the band have continued to perform live across the UK during the last 12 months, including headline shows at iconic venues such as London's 100 Club and Liverpool's Cavern Club, The Heavy North have kept their fans and followers eagerly awaiting any new releases.
The band have also adjusted to line up changes over the past 18 months most notably the introduction of bass player George Favager Mysterines.
The Heavy North are Kenny Stuart (vocals), Jose Ibanez (guitar), Jack Birch (guitar), George Favager (bass), Mark Rice (drums) and Ste Penn (keys).
