TONIGHT! JAMES LETTA (Album Launch Party) + Lucy Mair, Danny Wright & Amber Pèri

Cult Sessions presentation, by arrangement with TTA:

James Letta is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter/producer from the UK. A Piano and Keyboard player since the age of 7, and now based in contemporary R&B, Funk and Soul, he is inspired by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince. James has spent the last year and a half releasing music and steadily growing his fan base. The music video for ‘Eyes For You’ has amassed over 30,000 views online, whilst all of James’ four singles so far have had strong praise from BBC Introducing in both ‘Three Counties’ and ‘East Midlands’. James’ debut album will be released on the 1st of September 2017, with the final single ‘Nowhere To Hide’, a stripped back Piano and Vocal ballad, preceding it on the 11th of August. Following the release of his album, James hopes to keep making music and expand his sound further, as well as continue to grow his fan base and play even more shows.'

+ Support from:

Lucy Mair is a singer songwriter with a strong following in the Oxford and Three Counties area. Her songs combine jazz-influenced pop melodies with thoughtful and heartfelt lyrics.

She uses a keyboard and guitar when playing live, adding a loop pedal to build up driving rhythms with lush and complex vocal harmonies. She has played at venues such as The Ritzy, ProudCamden and The Garage. She has played the Bedford and supported Tom Walker as part of his May 2017 tour.Lucy was selected by BBC Introducing to perform on their stage at 'Truck' festival in 2016 supporting the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen and Kodaline.

She was then chosen to perform again by BBC Introducing to perform at 'Standon Calling Festival' in 2017 supporting Clean Bandit and Grace Jones. Her first single of 2017, Midnight Car Ride, was released to critical acclaim. It was premiered and was a track of the week on BBC Introducing.

Danny Wright is a self-taught, self-made singer, guitarist, songwriter and actor who rarely fits neatly into one stereotypical box. A former frontman of touring rock bands DissolvedIN and We Are Lost Boys, he played all over the world, performed at Download festival and enjoyed press acclaim from Kerrang! magazine. Now a solo artist with a clutch of pop- influenced and intensely personal new songs to unveil (helmed by You Me At Six/Lower Than Atlantis producer John Mitchell), he is taking the next step in what’s set to be a long career.

“The song is about anxiety and crippling ambition,” says Danny of his debut release. “I actually started writing it a long time ago, but I never finished it due to what I thought was writer’s block. I’ve been sitting on some songs for years telling myself they are not ready. Last year I had an extreme anxiety attack and was rushed to A+E, and afterwards I had therapy sessions - which was one of the best things I ever did. In those sessions, I learned a lot about my behaviours, my habits and my demons. ‘Staying In’ is about the process of creating, and because of that psychological breakthrough it became almost effortless to finally finish.”

AMBER PÈRI is an upcoming urban pop singer songwriter aiming to create her journey through relatable tunes. She is releasing her debut single on the 1st September titled 'Her'.
