Caribbean Carnival Garden Party | Headsessions & Maka Foundation

We're delighted to be returning to SoBar Southampton for the second year of our Caribbean Carnival Garden Parties, hosted by Southampton's number 1 sound system crews Headsessions and Maka Foundation. The bass will be vibrating and reverberating across Southampton while our chef returns with his mout watering menu alongside our classic Caribbean cocktails.

The first event takes place on Saturday 24th June, with the Garden open from 2pm and the after party inside SoBar from 10pm

HEADSESSIONS

Headsessions Promotions has been running since August 2012. It started with a vision of creating a new side to the Southampton music scene, and to open the doors to a genre of music not often seen in the area. Since the start, the Headsessions reggae night has been the only regular reggae night in Southampton so has drawn in quite a lot of attention. 
The Headsessions Promotion company booked some of the biggest artists in the reggae scene in their first year, including: Macka B, Channel One Soundsystem, Aba Shanti, Dub Pistols, Zion Train, to name just a few. 
The Headsessions custom desinged hand built sound system has now been in action sinse 2014 and has traveled all around the Uk doing festivals and gigs in many different venues! Loaded with some of the most powerful heavyweight drivers, it is sure to shake the foundations of any venue...

REAL ROOTS SOUND SYSTEM

Real Roots is firmly established as one of the leading Roots Reggae/Dub outfits on the London circuit. Hosting and performing at regular sell-out events for over 5 years.
In 2016 their Sound System was launched the REAL ROOTS SOUND SYSTEM. Run by Sattamann & Paulo with vocals from Ramon Judah. A hand made roots & culture, dubwise system. Strictly vinyl, strictly roots.

Even when the garden closes, the festivities continue inside as we welcome Reverence Sound as masters of ceremony, keeping the dance floor pumping till 2am!
