'VbyV' - Live Music Charity Event

Hi Everyone!

My name is Lauren Bridge and I am organising a live music event at Wincham Community Centre in Cheshire, to raise funds for a charity that I work with, called 'Village by Village'.

It is going to be held on Saturday 23rd March 6-11:15pm with tickets costing £10 on Fatsoma (£9 to Village by Village, with a £1 mandatory Fatsoma booking fee). Price on the door will be £12, if there are any tickets left!

The Facebook link for the event is https://www.facebook.com/events/2216741048597012/ and the Instagram link is https://www.instagram.com/vbyvmusicevent/ to keep up with the latest information.

All profits from the event will be going to the charity, with the great opportunity for a wider audience to watch upcoming bands and soloists from Manchester and Cheshire.

Confirmed acts so far:

6:15-6:35pm – Ewan Job

6:45-7:15pm – Plain Navy

7:30-8:00pm – Playing Faces

8:15-8:45pm – Good for Gordon

9:00-9:30pm – Graceland

9:45-10:15pm – Oceans On Mars

10:30-11:15pm – Pacific

If you’re wanting to get involved in advertisement, on the night with the bar or tickets message me on Facebook.

The lovely Alex Coleborn will be directing the promo videos, as well as managing the photography before the event and on the night and creating/editing the posters for the event.

Village by Village is a charity founded by Neil Kerfoot.

Their mission is to reduce the needless suffering and deaths of children living in poverty in remote rural African villages.
Their vision - A world where children born to families living in poverty in African villages do not die prematurely, have access to clean water, basic sanitation and are offered a chance for a better life through education.
"One day, we hope African children do not needlessly die or suffer from preventable diseases that we in the wealthier Northern hemisphere no longer consider a threat to our children.
We want a connected educated community that sees children in poverty as vibrant, energetic, worthy kids and not as a stereotypical poverty victim as depicted in many disaster relief posters."

'Small charity, making a big difference'

I will be travelling to Ghana this summer for 4 weeks, to spend time with the village of Abenta and aim to educate them on the importance of hygiene and health care, as well as teaching them English and Maths. I had this opportunity in 2016 and I am thoroughly excited to be able to help their community again.

It is mandatory that each volunteer should raise £1000 before going and this event will be in aid of raising my £1000 before travelling - none of the money will go towards the cost of my flights, it all goes straight to the charity.

I look forward to seeing you all there!

Thanks again from me and the rest of the team working on the event, as well as Village by Village
