The Business of Science Conference, Thursday 16th May 2019

The development and commercialisation of science has been fundamental to the North and the UK’s growth for many years – from splitting the atom, the development of targeted medicines, great science facilities and infrastructure to the discovery of Graphene and other 2D materials. The successful commercialisation of science along with the development of the required skills to underpin innovation have long been key drivers of economic growth. This will continue to accelerate as technical developments gather pace.

Now in it's fourth year following successful conference's in 2016 and 17 at Manchester’s Museum of Science and Industry and Liverpool's Hilton hotel in May 2018. The 2019 Business of Science Conference will be held at Cloth Hall Court in Leeds on Thursday,16th May and will again explore the development and commercialisation of great science showcasing case studies drawn from successful businesses along with a review the of the required skills to support this. There will be an opportunity to question those involved and to challenge current and future thinking about science, business and how they interact.
