A Straight Buggin' Production: Studio 55

Studio 55, is a Disco, Soul & Funk orientated experience brought to you by the creative force behind Straight Buggin’. Studio 55 aims to resurrect the funk, while pursuing trends in contemporary music. In essence, mixing the past with present, in an attempt to revive your funky soul.

The Bunker

Charlie Banks (House) After tearing up the summer in Ibiza, Banks is back in his hometown and supporting some of the biggest artists in the House genre. His last year has not gone unnoticed, with one of the genres most exciting new labels snapping him up.

Southsea Soul Club (Disco/Funk/Soul/House) Lurking from the corners of Portsea Island, there’s dynamic collective of DJ/Producers that go by the name of Southsea Soul Club, bringing a blend of the best in goodness, old and new. It looks like it’s going to be an exciting year for SSC with forthcoming original music to watch out for in the coming year.

Main Room

Loose Collar (Disco/Funk/House) Loose Collar is a trio of DJ's of different ages, sizes and musical backgrounds. A slew of shared bills and back-to-back sets left the groundwork for the three to venture forward together. They share a mutual love for funked out 12's, cucumber Martinis and 8 hour DJ sets. Their primary function is too loosen’ your collar.

Charlie Bizzle (Soul/Funk) Charlie is a brother with a Funky Soul and is known for his serious addiction to hard drums, big basslines and that upbeat groove. It has been said that this vinyl lovers sets on 45’s, are funkier than James Browns socks.

Movers (Hip Hop) The term “real” Hip Hop gets thrown around too loosely these days, but this man truly embraces the culture. The laid back King of the South has been in this basement perfecting his craft in production & DJing for some time now, so expect to hear a selection of highbrow funky/hard hitting head nodders from the early 90’s into the 00’s.
