December Songs is a live music event bringing together a lineup of talented artists from across the North East curated by local musician Ben Harwood for an evening of music at the Salt Market’s Loading Bay in North Shields. Inspired by the informal, collaborative atmosphere of buskers nights, the event will feature stripped-back performances of original material, covers and festive favourites. Members of the host band will be joined on stage by a range of guest musicians, creating a relaxed and intimate evening celebrating the region’s local music scene. The first confirmed guests are Charlie Floyd, Hannah Robinson and Joe Bartley, with further performances to be announced bringing together artists from across the region.
All ticket proceeds and additional donations will go to Crisis UK, the national charity working to end homelessness. Following a Christmas fundraising gig in support of the charity last year, Ben’s December Songs continues this partnership, raising funds and awareness for Crisis’s vital work helping people leave homelessness behind.
