Raices Dance proudly presents RAÍCES UNIDAS. A brand-new monthly event and the North's first and only event dedicated entirely to Traditional Bachata.

Created to celebrate the roots, music and culture of the Dominican Republic, RAÍCES UNIDAS brings authentic Traditional Bachata to the heart of Leeds through inspiring workshops, social dancing and a welcoming community.

Whether you're taking your very first steps or you're passionate about Traditional Bachata, this is your opportunity to experience the dance in its purest form and be part of the beginning of something special.

To celebrate our launch, we're honoured to welcome Brandy Colores, an internationally renowned artist and instructor from the Dominican Republic.

Known for his swagger, authentic style, exceptional musicality, infectious energy and deep knowledge of Bachata. His classes combine roots, culture, technique and fun, offering a true taste of Traditional Bachata from one of its finest ambassadors. The kind of energy that makes Bachata feel alive!

⏰ WORKSHOPS

🇩🇴 1ST CLASS (Merengue) - Viva El Merengue (Open Level)

The first class will be a tribute to the Dominican Republic a merengue class. The merengue plays a very important role in the bachata, if you want to have control in your hip movement and look more suave come and learn the merengue tradition to the bachata transition.

🌱2ND CLASS (Bachata) - Back to the Roots (Open Level)

The second class will be 2 classes in one. The first part will be solo and foot work taking your bachata back to basics - dominican style and then we will transition to partner rotation work applying the solo and footwork in the first part part.
