ORPHEUS' MISTAKE - SEÁN FITTON

Do myths and archetypes still have relevance to our modern lives?

Using song, movement and poetic text, Orpheus’ Mistake takes the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and four images from the Tarot Cards as a method of examining a traumatic personal experience.  In doing so, it asks whether, despite our cultural differences, there are some things that connect us all.

Contains adult themes and coarse language.

A THONG WITH A LACE FRONT - TIA-BELLA EASTON

What are the grey areas when it comes to consent?  Are there any, are there some?

With one Female performer and one Male performer, this contemporary performance piece uncovers these issues in a provocative yet playful way with the use of movement and music.

Contains strobe lighting and representation of sexual assault.

DANCE TO THE MUSIC - STELLA LAZAROU

In 'Dance to the Music', you will be invited to create your own space and atmosphere by choosing the music and how the space will look, by creating the space with the different items that will be include in the dance performance. The dancer will react to the shape of the space and so the dance will change through the performance. This is a durational piece for up to eight audience members at a time.

This piece is durational, and audience members are welcome to come and go as they please.

AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN - LUKE McDONNELL

'Again and Again and Again and Again' is a digital theatre piece that explores the ruptures in our lives and throughout the country, the looping nature of the disasters and political changes and how they are mediated in modern culture. Live video and projections are used to display how the technology available isn't always the best to communicate tragedy.

Contains references to the Manchester Arena terrorist attack and the 7/7 terrorist attack.

WHEEL OF MISFORTUNE - TOM SHORT

Tom Short brings his 'Wheel of Misfortune' to the DYP Mini-Fest. A tireless performer, Tom's unpredictable cocktail of anarchic clowning, sarcastic wit and constant reinvention of stand-up will keep you guessing what will happen next!

Contains adult themes and strong language. Involves audience participation.

DO I KNOW YOU? - OLIVER TENNANT

Relationships are weird. Especially with those you assume you're closest to. What is about your relationship that makes you so close? Are you even really that close? Who knows? I certainly don’t, but I'm hoping to find out.

Come with me on my journey to find out exactly who it is that's sat across from me and what it is, that makes us... us. You might even learn something about yourself.

Contains an improvised conversation.

I THINK I'M ON ANOTHER WORLD WITH YOU - JORDAN LINTON

'I Think I’m On Another World With You' is about questions. It’s about asking questions: to ourselves, to each other and with each other.  It’s about asking questions together, questions that might not all have answers, to see if we might be able to imagine another world.  It contains loud noises, sections performed in darkness, violent themes and seminal late-70s power pop.  It’s about The Naughty Step. It’s about prisons.

Contains loud noises, violent themes, and audience interaction.

I CAN'T DO THIS WITHOUT YOU - PATRICK THOMAS

An honest and shared experience that is part participation, part installation: 'I Can’t Do This Without You' is a performance that both celebrates and mourns our favourite idols in film and music, and our relationship with them. With your help we will see how the music we love inspires us, keeps us company, and reminds us of things we have, and things we never had.

Contains bright lights and possible flashing images.
