Jim Cartwright's Is There Anybody There?

'IS THERE ANYBODY THERE?' is a work-in-progress play written by award winning Jim Cartwright and directed by Anthony Banks.

Its script-in-hand performance will star Claire Sweeney, John Gordon Sinclair, Wendi Peters, Catherine Tyldesley and Elexi Walker!

'Cold Feet' star John Thomson will be joining the ensemble for the workshopping process leading up to the public sharing, with playwright Jim Cartwright playing the role on the night.

Jim Cartwright’s 'IS THERE ANYBODY THERE?' is a psychic thriller, an exploration of mortality and the meaning of life itself, and a look into the lives of a group of northern women struggling to get by on zero hours contracts. The protagonists are a group of cleaning ladies and other staff, who work the late night shift in a high rise sky scraper in the North of England.

The work will be previewed at New Adelphi Theatre as a first sharing/script-in-hand performance, with post-show conversations with the writer and director in the bar afterwards!

WARNING: Suitable for those ages 15+

Cost: £10/£7
