No prizes for guessing that STAND UP IN THE BASEMENT is a stand up comedy night and guess what? It’s on a tuesday night! Meaning you get to see top TV comics making you chuckle in the same room, and for a fraction of the normal price!

As well as familiar faces from TV, we feature some of the best circuit comics, plus new raw talent and occasionally a few big names who wanna come and try out some new material. It’s tailor-made for people who love live comedy! You’ll get to see a diverse range of comic talent in an intimate space.

Carl started performing stand-up regularly in the early part of 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the most exciting new comics climbing the comedy ladder. His confident, conversational style and silly sense of humour has seen him win a host of awards and become a regular act and MC at clubs all over the country. He's made a number of TV appearances on shows like 'Mock The Week', 'Dave's One Night Stand' and 'Russell Howard’s Good News'. He's regularly on the radio and he has also co-hosted a radio show for the Fubar Radio app after his acclaimed podcast which he recorded with Chris Martin.

The Raymond and Mr Timpkins Revue simply have to be seen to be believed. They are the without a doubt the maddest, silliest, stupidest, cleverest, strangest and everything else-ist as well as the funniest double act of comedians on the circuit.They're a prop/music driven double act, professionally dancing about and holding up words and pictures since 2004, though they’ve been enthusiastic amateurs for much longer.

The show starts for 8.30pm so please arrive before 8pm to get your drinks and take your seats. Seats are on a first come, first serve basis - the rest of you get to 'Stand Up' in the Basement!
