Water is Attracted to Water

Water is Attracted to Water is an attempt to re-mythologise our relationship with water -  to discover how playfulness and joy can be part of our lives as we struggle to confront difficult truths, and to re-engage with science as a meaningful story at the centre of who we are.

Two performers, a musician and a scientist come together on stage in a celebration of water for the 21st century, mixing dance, music, science, stories and an experiment on stage.

They attempt to give as many answers as possible to the question 'What really is the story of water?', whilst Professor Miklas Scholz conducts an experiment onstage.

'Water is Attracted to Water' is a work in progress. A Q+A and feedback session will be held after the show.

Funded by Arts Council England and supported by ARC Stockton Arts Centre, New Adelphi Theatre, the University of Salford and Lund University, Sweden.

A two hour workshop with the artists will also be running in the afternoon prior to the performance. This session introduces some of the improvisational approaches used in making the performance and gives participants the opportunity to create their own collective myth of water.

The workshop will take place in Rehearsal Room 1 from 1:30pm - 3:30pm. Please email Kate Adams on k.r.adams@salford.ac.uk for further information. Limited capacity.
