Eastwood Events presents their first show raising awareness on sexual injustices & gender inequalities, focusing on women's and LGBTQ+ members experiences.
With the help of some talented local musicians and the support of Survivors Network Charity and the BOBU campaign, we hope to introduce a creative safe space within this shows and others alike, for self-expression, education and to raise awareness on daily sexual violences and injustices occurring to women and people within the LGBTQ+ communities around the world and its effects, translated into art in the form of music.
The goal of Eastwood Events' first Awarness event, taking place at The Folklore Rooms Rooms in the centre of Brighton on Wednesday 23rd November, is to introduce the concept and theme of the show and to encourage and inspired others to address the silenced topics and support each other on their own or other people's experiences with trauma, mental health and abuse and more, hopefully contributing to individuals healing processes.
For the evening will have a four Brighton based acts, including Misti, Chloe Leigh, Evangeline Eastwood and Alx Frncs, using their platforms and musically talent to express their experiences and point of views as a form of catharisis and to raise awareness.
Survivors Network members, will be present during the event with free flyers and support. Members from BOBU campaign will also be present to promote their services.

Misti : Misti is an artist who developed their own dark sound, with lyrics of a certain level of maturity and haunting vocals that will give you chills.
Chloe Leigh: Inspired by wordsmiths such as Leonard Cohen and Laura Marling, Chloe Leigh's muaic portrays sincere tales of love and loss, longing and laughter. Her signature blend of folk and flaminco styles has taken Chloe to many places, from the fine fields of Glastonbury festival to dark jazz bars in Berlin. Chloe has recently been working on a new collection of songs inspired by her southern Spanish roots, many of which are bilingual tracks that celebrate her upbringing.
Evangeline Eastwood: Soul-Rock singer/songwriter based in Brighton. Powerhous reminsicent of Janis Joplin, Joss Stone and Etta James. Her vocals relfect a ombination of soulful melismas and rocky screams. Evangeline's music explores the duality of love and heartbreak, as well as challenges sexism and misogyny through her lyrics.
alx frncs: alx frncs is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist existing between Brighton and London. She Sings and writes intimate lyrics about her fratured famili as a form of catharsic released, influenced by artists such as Julia Jacklin, Nick Drake, Bon Iver. Having already performed around multiple venues in Brighton (The green Door Store) and London 9The Finsbury)and Oxford (The Library), she's Bringing vulnerable bedroom folk music to audiences everywhere.
