Carving out a solid reputation as one of the UK and Ireland’s most exciting and dependable acts, DJ and Producer Mark Blair has gone from strength to strength in recent years. With a consistent stream of club ready hits and international parties building him a strong following and promising much more to come.
In DJ sets, Mark has curated a unique style of club-ready House music, with tinges of grime & hip hop, aimed squarely at the dance floor and eliciting strong reactions from audiences. After cutting his teeth at underground parties and illegal raves in Belfast, word soon began to spread and Mark became a regular fixture in the Ireland and the UK club circuit. Recent tours bringing him across Europe, Australia and America, including shows at such iconic institutions as Subclub in Glasgow and the Bossa Nova Civic Club in New York, has shown that his rapidly growing fanbase continues to expand.
Building up a prolific string of defining releases such as “I Miss the Old Kanye”, “Biggie was a Jazz Fan”, “This is Acid man”, Mark has continually shown himself as a gifted producer with a finger firmly on the pulse of dance music. Coining his own signature style of bombastic House, indebted to the golden era and refitted with modern production techniques, Mark has created his own brand, one that’s in high demand. With millions of plays across Spotify, Soundcloud and YouTube, Mark’s productions can be found in heavy rotation across the internet and in DJ sets around the world. Mark’s growth seems destined to continue with his latest release “Riot Squad” already gracing dance floors around the globe.
A newcomer to the scene, THELMA has been making waves in the underground scene since her release of “TRACK ID” in early 2022. With no prior experience in music production, the young artist’s catchy rave stab banger has amassed over 600k streams across all platforms. In just a few months she has grown a loyal fanbase of 30k monthly listeners on Spotify and co-headlined at Industry Belfast alongside techno legend Mark Blair.
With THELMA, no two sets are identical. Growing up in Switzerland’s capital of underground music, Lausanne, and now living in London, she is constantly challenging herself to adapt her music to different audiences. Her selections range from uplifting old school techno and trance to dark electro and breakbeats.
Her explosive debut at Egg London in February was quickly followed by a sold out set at Corsica Studios and performances in Paris, Dublin and Belfast. She has become well known for her high-energy sets and an inability to stand still behind the decks.
The artist has had a fiercely independent approach, utilising her social media platforms to market herself and release independently. Fascinated by the world of music production, she released a dozen originals and remixes in the last year, with recent remixes of Skepta and Flume being played across Europe and Australia.
With no intention of slowing things down, 2023 is promising for THELMA. A debut EP and international shows in Norway, Northern Ireland and Italy mark the beginning of an exciting year for the artist.
DJ Love is a London-based newcomer whose name practically exploded onto the scene. You may know this leader of the new gen from his highly-successful live streams or from his diverse-yet-heartfelt sets at venues such as The Cause, Thekla, and Scala. Close your eyes, and you’ll know immediately from the ethereal melodies and thumping kicks that it’s DJ Love. Open them and you’ll see that signature grin from ear-to-ear that makes it hard to be anything but grateful for being in your spot on the dancefloor.
While he’s already made waves with his track curation alone, DJ Love has been churning out the anthems that could easily define the UK’s underground culture. His ravey breakbeat techno debut self-release, “Fully Gassed” kicked off the artist’s success, and it only gets better from there. “Love Will Always Do” released on Motive Hunter Audio and “Break Me” are testimony to his happy-go-lucky personality transmitted through music that gets any rave hyped. His bootlegs are some of the most coveted in underground techno right now. Most recently he debuted the much requested “I’m God” edit, running up views and downloads across all his social media.
