Rise Presents: KOVE

We have great pleasure in announcing that for the Rise launch night, Saturday 18th of October, we have KOVE.

Kove: Shortly after his first release, Breach/Stellar, released on Matrix and Futurebound’s Viper Recordings, RAM Records boss Andy C signed Iodine/Open Ground to his new imprint Program Recordings. The track was featured on the legendary DJ’s Mixmag mix CD, which led to Kove being invited to play at RAM’s residency at London’s infamous club Fabric.

Only a month after the release of Iodine, Kove’s track ‘Searching’ found its way into the hands of chart topping producers Chase & Status, a record deal with Chase & Status’ label MTA followed. Soon Kove was supporting them at club nights across Europe as the track became one of the biggest releases of the summer, receiving major support from Radio 1 and reaching the #1 spot on Beatport D&B chart.

Rise is currently the only D&B focused event in Swansea, based in Sin City, with the best sound system in the area. We aim to cater not only to Students, but Drum & Bass heads from all over Swansea and the surrounding areas. We have a strong selection of highly experienced resident DJs and MCs from Swansea and Cardiff. As students, we understand that money is tight, so we'll make sure our ticket and drinks prices are reasonable and affordable for everyone.

We are dedicated to advancing Drum & Bass culture in Swansea and feel passionate about the music, as well as the people that come with it. We'll be showing you something different from the norm, with a lot of surprises along the way that you may have never seen at an event before. We hope you're as excited as we are!
