The brand new festival will feature two huge stages hosted by iconic brands including the hugely popular event brand Retro as well as 90s Baby and will see over 15 live acts & DJ’s perform across 2 stages for a day of Old Skool classics.
Who’s ready to party like it’s 1999?
The Retro stage will be host to the legendary American DJ, Record Producer & Remixer Todd Terry. Terry is a GRAMMY nominated pioneer of the House music scene. He crossed the sounds of House with Hip - Hop breaks to create an energised sound that has had dancefloors bouncing since the 1990’s! His most notable releases include the 90’s bangers ‘Something Goin On’ & ‘Keep On Jumpin’, which were UK top-ten hits.
Joining Todd Terry on the Retro stage will be 2003’s “Number One” DJ as voted for by Mixmag & The Face Magazines, Jeremy Healy. During the British summer of Love, Healy was responsible for the Hit Anthem ‘Everything Starts With An E’ which launched him into stardom as he began to tour the iconic islands of Ibiza & Bali. Responsible for the phenomenal and standout London club night ‘Circus’, Healy will be spinning the best 90’s and early 2000’s tunes!
The Retro stage will also feature DJ performances from Retros Head Honcho Paul Taylor & Alistair Whitehead. Scottish born Paul Taylor is the man responsible for creating the house classics brand Retro in 1989! Taylor holds a passion for the beats & soul of dance music that is unrivalled. Alastair Whitehead will be holding it down alongside Taylor. Starting his career at 17, Whitehead took up a residency at the Koolkat in Nottingham before his status as a wicked selector cemented him regular spots at Ministry of Sound and Gatecrasher.
The DJ’s will be joined by 2 incredible artists who will be performing LIVE. Renowned house singer Steve Edwards will be getting the crowd bouncing with his classics such as ‘The Sound of Violence’, the track that went to number 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 2002. Alongside him will be Alison Limerick who is responsible for the club anthem ‘Where Love Lives’, her solo-debut and a No.3 hit in the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play in 1991. Having worked with artists such as George Michael, Limerick is ready to take on the Big Stage at One More Time Festival.
Stage 2 will be hosted by the 90’s Baby Show & feature artists that captivate the un - rivalled 90’s era. These acts will reunite on stage for an unmissable experience. The 90s house group Baby D, known for their hit ‘Let Me Be Your Fantasy’ will be taking you back to this special era with their captivating performance. In 2001, Sonique won a BRIT award for best British female solo artist. With hits such as “It feels so good”, ‘Sky’ & ‘I Put A Spell On You’, she is not one to miss.
Joining them will be Rozalla. With UK singles such as ‘Born to Luv Ya’, ‘Everybody's Free (To Feel Good)’ and ‘Faith (In Power and Love)’, Rozalla's sound defined the UK's late 90's and early 00's scene. Blending elements of R&B with Old Skool breakbeat and Eurodance, Rozalla will be leading fans into a dancing frenzy! 90’s Baby will further play host to N-Trance & Livin Joy. N-trance will be one of the main attractions of the weekend. Their hit songs ‘Set You Free’ & ‘Electronic Pressure’ are only 2 out of 14 singles which hit the UK charts between the years 1994 - 2004. Livin Joy are no strangers to the funk. The Italian Eurodance group are going to get the hips shaking with classics such as ‘Dreamer’ and ‘Don’t Stop Moving’.
Capping off the 90’s Baby stage are artists Alex Party & JX. JX Aka DJ Jake Williams will bring his bubbly synthesiser madness. He has achieved 2 top 10 singles in the UK with ‘There’s Nothing I Won’t Do’ reaching number 4. Prolific Italian electronic dance group Alex Party will blow the roof off Stewart Park with their energy. In 1995, their hit single ‘Don’t Give Me Your Life’ rocketed up to number #2 in the charts.
This massive announcement is sure to prove popular with all music fans that are looking to experience what was the best era of dance music in the UK! Let’s go back to the 90’s One More Time!
