My Precious Bunny — the new project from Brighton-based musician Lily Wolter (of Penelope Isles) is making her way to Cornwall this summer. Lily crafts undeniably beautiful songs: scenes of youth, love, and heartbreak, stitched together with tasty synths, distorted acoustic guitar, and four-part harmonies. Built by a six-piece rock band - MPB’s sound is rich and contagious. Nostalgic like Bon Iver, classic like a Johnny Greenwood piece, big like Broken Social Scene and heart-breakingly cool like an Alex G record. These songs will cradle you and then blow you away.
Cubzoa - Jack Wolter (Lily’s brother and partner in Penelope Isles) makes music and visuals under the moniker Cubzoa. His songs and visual artwork evoke intimacy and delicacy, often touching on personal and melancholic themes. Described as a blend of folk, electronica, and sun-damaged pop, Cubzoa’s upcoming body of work showcases glistening electronics, textured guitars and live visuals that immerse you in a captivating sonic landscape. Self-produced at Bella Union Studios and mixed by Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck), Cubzoa’s debut LP is set to be released on Bella Union later this year.
Last Living Cannibal - is the musical project of Brighton-based songwriter Allister Kellaway. A big favourite of ours and anyone who knows his music- Allister has delivered some of the best songs in the last decade using the monikers Last Living Cannibal and The Mantis Opera. As well as a prolific songwriter, Allister has produced and engineered records for EERA and most recently the unreleased My Precious Bunny debut album. Disgustingly crunchy guitar work - overdriven drum machines and stunning baritone vocals. We love you Last Living Cannibal. For the lovers of My Bloody Valentine and Radiohead.
