Tinderbox is a non-profit artist development programme, with three key strands designed to give upcoming artists the skills and resources needed to navigate the music industry.

The current music industry model is broken. Financial and socio-economic barriers increasingly silence diverse voices, stifle creativity, and homogenise the musical landscape. Tinderbox exists to ensure that the UK’s brilliantly diverse alternative music landscape has a future.

Over our six-month Tinderbox programmes, artists record a body of work in a professional studio with an experienced producer, work 1:1 with an artist development manager to nurture their career, and navigate the often-inaccessible world of funding, to support their own projects, all for free.
