Milan-born, Berlin-based ‘piano poet’ Federico Albanese
comes to Colston Hall for a heart-rending live performance. His
compositions are transcendental, cinematic and blend classical with
layers of electronica and psychedelia. Already delighting fans of Nils
Frahm, Max Richter and Penguin Cafe, his sound has been dubbed “modern
classical music for the Erased Tapes generation” (Clash). Without words,
Albanese weaves “haunting beauty, fragile melancholy and
instrumentation that speaks volumes” (Drowned in Sound).
