No prizes for guessing that STAND UP IN THE BASEMENT is a stand up comedy night and guess what? It’s on a Tuesday night! Meaning you get to see top TV comics making you chuckle in the same room, and for a fraction of the normal price!

As well as familiar faces from TV, we feature some of the best circuit comics, plus new raw talent and occasionally a few big names who wanna come and try out some new material. It’s tailor-made for people who love live comedy! You’ll get to see a diverse range of comic talent in an intimate space.

⭐ Angelos Epithemiou (The creation of Daniel Renton Skinner)

Angelos Epithemiou is the owner of a burger van who wants to break into show business. He got his break in 2009, when he became a permanent team member on the revival of Shooting Stars, replacing Johnny Vegas on Ulrika Jonsson’s Team B, before becoming the scorer.

Unwitting star of Shooting Stars (BBC Two), Dave’s One Night Stand and Channel 4’s The Angelos Epithemiou Show, this cult favourite takes a giant leap into the spotlight yet again. Shambolic, weird and wonderful; think Little Britain meets Vic and Bob meets a smattering of Ivan Brackenbury, then lower your expectations and get on board.

Epithemiou's popularity has taken him on shows such as Soccer AM, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, The Rob Brydon Show, The British Comedy Awards, Come Dine with Me, Pointless Celebrities and Sunday Brunch. 

Angelos Epithemiou is the creation of Dan Renton Skinner – a member of the Dutch Elm Conservatoire Sketch group. He has starred in blockbuster films such as The Spy Who Dumped Me, High Rise, and Swallows and Amazons for BBC Films, and TV classics: Sex Education, The Office, My Family, Coupling, The Tracy Ullman Show, Friday Night Dinner, and The Wrong Mans. 

Dan was nominated for the breakthrough award and best sketch or character act at the 2010 Chortle awards. In December 2011 Skinner won the Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist at The British Comedy Awards.

Delightfully saucy, her friendly and confident stage presence, combined with a killer wit, an infectious giggle and some devastating one-liners make her a comedic force to be reckoned with a warm and welcoming with a delightfully saucy and spiky edge, her bold, no nonsense attitude strikes a perfect pitch with men and women alike.

Bayley has been on the professional circuit now for over a decade, performing at only the best comedy clubs across the UK and beyond. Early in her career Karen picked up several awards reaching the final of the coveted BBC New Comedy Awards, and winner of the Komedia new act prize and also reached the finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase. Karen was also the first winner of the prestigious competition at the Comedy Store - King Gong. She supported Joe Lycett on his UK tour, and writes for 8 Out of 10 Cats and Celebrity Juice.

The show starts for 8pm so please arrive at least 20 minutes before then to get your drinks and take your seats. If you'd like to a bite to eat before the show, book a table via the website from 5pm and enjoy a 10% discount on your food bill. Food must be ordered by 7pm.
