Boris Johnson is our Prime Minister, Brexit still looms menacingly and unfathomably over the landscape like some sort of Lovecraftian hellbeast turning all who gaze upon it to dribbling madness, the world is heating up at such an alarming rate that Greenland is about to become an accurately-named country, and our world continues to laugh in the face of all that is good while sliding backwards into hell.

Let's have a big bloody near-end of year/world party to celebrate and grieve with reckless abandon. Offering up the typical mix of beer, bands and bourgeoisie-baiting, yer chums at Leftfest Inverness will be bringing you a party worth dying for, to hopefully raise a good amount of cash/goods for our pals at Highland Foodbank.

THE SIGNAL
Inverness’s premier prolesthytising punk-rockers make their Leftfest Inverness bow, and we couldn’t be happier to have them join us. Raucous, venomous and powerful, expect the roof to be blown off the Claw (and every surrounding building within a three-mile radius) when this lovely lot take the stage.

TABLE FOR FOUR
Poppy, punky and party-happy, Table for Four return to the Claw for another barney after their stormer at last October’s inaugural Leftfest Inverness gig (Never Mind the Monsters). For those of you who haven’t heard them yet, you can expect hooks, kooks and a massive lack of, uh, fooks left to give about the world.

ON THE BLACK
Oh, come on - we couldn’t have a Leftfest Inverness without On the Black. It’s not a Leftfest Inverness show without the Black Isle three-piece and their heady blend of European folk styles creating something rambunctuous, unique and so very them. Expect foot-stomping melodies, virtuousic playing, and an all round good time. We’re so glad they’re back once again, and if you haven’t heard them yet, trust us - you will be too.

TARTAN PAINT
In a bold bid for the Arran jumper-wearing crowd, Leftfest Inverness are delighted to welcome this young, vibrant and oh-so-bold ceilidh trio to join us for their first show with us! Stuffed with jigs, reels and more contemporary numbers, we’re delighted to welcome this three to get our feet moving in a traditional. Expect many hollers and “och aye the noo”s.

THE PROJECT
The folkpop four piece kick off our End-of-Year/World disco in contemplative, gentle and unforgettable style before it all goes to raucous hell. Crisp, clean and soaring with melodies for days, there’s no need to manage expectations for THIS project. No, YOU apologise for that.
