Are You Ok? Campaign Fundraiser

Hi!

I am holding a fundraising event at Revolution Southend to raise money for the 'Are You Ok?' Campaign. 'Are You Ok?’ aims to help individuals access mental health support should they need it whilst on a night out. I started the campaign in 2019 after a personal experience. Of course, nights out can be fun, but as I found out, alcohol can also exacerbate mental health problems. The campaign works by putting up posters in toilet areas of bars and nightclubs, prompting the question of ‘Are You Ok?’ and providing individuals with ways to ask for help there and then should they need it.

After lockdown began and bars started to close their doors, the campaign started to die down and lose its relevancy. I think that, since lockdown, many individuals have realised quite how important mental health is and that we need support now more than ever. That's why I'd love for you to join me in my quest to get the campaign back up and running.

For your £30, you can expect a glass of prosecco upon arrival and a 3 course meal. There will also be a game of bingo and a raffle for those who'd like to participate, and of course karaoke and drinks deals to end the night.
