There haven't been many albums as highly anticipated as the debut from Split Prophets and now the age of Delta Bravo Kilo is finally here.

Straight out of the streets of Bristol, this eight strong crew have cemented a solid fan base, while firmly giving the finger to anyone doubting the scene outside of London contains no contenders for the crown.

MCs Res One, Datkid, Paro, Upfront, Bew Bonik, Bil Next and Flying Monk, alongside producer Badhabitz, have all had strong releases of their own since they burst on to the scene back in 2011, but DBK is their first official LP as a full crew.

Delta Bravo Kilo is 20 tracks deep and proves exactly why the Prophets have earned respect from fans and critics alike. The seven distinct flows coming together, perfectly matched with Badhabitz’s often funk laced beats.

There are no MC guest spots on the album, with full focus on the Prophets’ own lyrical bandits, but fellow Mc/producer BewBonik does bring his production skills to the project on Money, Another Trip and Not About It. You can also hear the nimble fingers of High Focus’ DJ Sammy B-Side on the cuts for make Your Mark.

Delta Bravo Kilo is a sound riot from start to finish and embraces Bristol’s strong independent musical history with the release being handled on Split Prophets’ own indy imprint Split Prophets Records.
