CLKWORK 1st Birthday w/ rRoxymore

Woo! Happy Birthday us! It's been a year since we danced together in our favourite little rave space, Mansion Underground, for the first time. To celebrate we're bringing an incredibly exciting internationally renowned DJ and producer from Berlin to party with us.

 rRoxymore is an artist dedicated to providing fresh perspectives on House & Techno. Her production has effortless energy and style with an indescribable moreishness. Taking influences from a love for Jazz and the power of the modern production techniques rRoxymore produces freeform, organic and forward thinking music. Her releases over recent years including those on Don't Be Afraid, Timedance and Berghain / Panorama Bar affiliated Ostgut Ton, have blown us away. 

As a DJ she has played all over the world including innumerable sets in her hometown of Berlin as well as shows as far afield as China and Mexico. Boiler Room have booked her 3 times and she’s performed in such legendary clubs as BASSIANI, ABOUT BLANK, fabriclondon, Tresor.Berlin (OFFICIAL) and Berghain / Panorama Bar. Alongside DJing she often performs live sets with her electronic instruments though she will be performing an extended DJ set for us at this party. Joining her on the night will be our residents Joe Rhys & OREN. and SKIN HQ and SLUT DROP bass queen JAMEELA. 

JAMEELA -The final set of the night will be played by SKIN & SLUT DROP resident JAMEELA. Since starting to DJ a year ago, JAMEELA has cultivated her own sound and become infamous for her freaky, booty-popping sets, full of outrageous wonky bass heavy bangers, frenetic glitchy percussion and a brazenly unapologetic approach to genre-mashing. Drawing on an encyclopedic range of influences such as leftfield bass, jungle, footwork, noise, pop, and more, this one is guaranteed to get your heart pumping.

OREN. Oren is a PHD student at the University of York with a keen ear for eclectic and experimental dance music. His understanding of club culture allows him to command the decks and keep his audience captivated. Joe RhysYou may have seen Joe playing his selection of lighter tunes at Soul Candy, Animaux, Hive, On & On or possibly even during your Freshers week. Joe is the founder of CLKWORK YORK and a real party selector. His song selection is often erratic, unapologetic and indulgent.
