Hattie Whitehead

After releasing a string of critically acclaimed solo EPs and garnering wide attention for fronting Hejira (the band celebrating the work of Joni Mitchell), UK singer-songwriter Hattie Whitehead is set to release her exquisite debut album Bloom on 4th October 2024, produced by John Reynolds (Sinead O'Connor). Hattie and her band will be celebrating the release of the album with her first headline show in Brighton, at the Folklore Rooms. This is a rare opportunity to catch her live with the band.

Born into an artistic family Hattie was raised on folk and jazz greats of the 60s and 70s, accounting for her lush folk hues and the inflections of Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake in her nuanced vocals. Her direct style, one with an unflinching lyrical honesty delivered in her striking crystal-clear voice, can be attributed to her more modern tastes in artists such as Wolf Alice, Kurt Vile and Angel Olson.
