James Lavelle is back for Living In My Headphones, his bi-monthly residency at The Social in Soho, London. The night takes its name from his acclaimed Soho Radio show, bringing its eclectic energy to the dancefloor.

‘Soho has always held a special place in my heart,’ says Lavelle. ‘I’ve been wanting to start a night here for a while. Having DJed at Heavenly Social—the Turnmills night that gave birth to The Social—this venue felt like the perfect home. I’ve always enjoyed playing here in the past. It’s an intimate space with a killer soundsystem, and there aren’t many places like it in Soho anymore.’

For Lavelle, this night is about more than just DJing—it’s about crafting a journey. ‘I’ve been wanting to play an all-night set where I can truly build a dancefloor,” he explains. “I’ll be downstairs in the main club, starting with an eclectic set of old skool classics and deep cuts, everything from Funk, Soul, Hip Hop and Disco building through the night into a more contemporary club sound taking you on a euphoric, psychedelic and uplifting
