Ché Wax at The Social
From soundtracking the smoky bars of Amsterdam and warehouses of Paris, to the coolest clubs and festival stages around the UK, Ché Wax will now be joining us for a special debut headline session in here in the Social basement.
Mixing trippy eastern edits with electro squelchers, or wonky broken beats with boogie, he also overdubs various synth FX and instruments live whilst exploring the styles of bruk, acid-house, psychedelia, dub, downtempo, and electro grooves. As an experienced and tasteful party starter, it's no surprise he's also starting to make waves across Europe and beyond and appearing cutting-edge parties like We Out Here, the north's legendary Golden Lion, Sneaky Pete's, our neighbours at 17 Little Portland St, Invisible Wind Factory, Apricot Ballroom and more.
Ché is an adept multi-instrumentalist and remixer - having written, produced, and officially remixed for artists such as Confidence Man, Gabriels, The Sugarhill Gang, Jarvis Cocker, Happy Mondays, Simply Red, Sticky Dub, and many more, under a number of other aliases such as 'Guevarism', 'The Emanations', and 'Mr Cryptic'', on prestigious labels like Fabric Records, Parlophone, Heavenly Recordings, Rough Trade Records, London Records, Soul Clap, Studio Rockers, Golden Lion Sounds, Machine North, and Erbium Records, as well as his own label output via Keep It Cryptic.
