DEADMEET26

DEADMEET IS BACK!

The wildest, most fun and, let's be honest, best comedy festival DEADMEET returns to for it's third edition after an incredible first two editions.

A new bigger and better venue and twice the chaos as we spread over two days and invite you to bring your camping gear and get right on it for an entire weekend of hilarious debauchery.

A comedy and podcast festival like no other. A party you'll never want to forget that you have no chance of remembering. Two full days and nights with some of the best comedians on the planet, live shows from some of the funniest comedy podcasts in the country, tattoos, wrestling, violence, degeneracy plus tons of wild surprises. There's gonna be gimps.

Leave your problems, your good judgement and your concern for your personal safety behind you and come experience pure, blissfully ignorant carnage. It's going to get messy. 💀

🚨 FAQs 🚨

THE BASICS

When and where is the festival?

DeadMeet26 will take place on 10th July - 11th July at Cheshire Showground, Clay House Farm, Knutsford, WA16 0HJ

This is our first 2-day event, so you can buy a ticket for both days, or just a day ticket for each day.

Camping tickets are available

What are the opening times of the main festival site?

The site will be open from 12pm - late (end time TBC, but we’ll have stuff on till the early hours) on both 10th and 11th July.

Can I leave the event site and then come back?

Yes you can leave and come back as long as you have your valid wristband and are back in before 19:30.

Is there any accommodation on site?

Yes! Brand new for this year, you will be able to camp at DeadMeet26. We’ll have a campsite available if you buy a weekend ticket with camping. Nobody else will be allowed on the campsite. Alternatively you can stay in any of the surrounding areas, there are loads of hotels including a couple of Travel Lodges and Premier Inns a short taxi ride away in Knutsford and Northwich.

Give it a google. We’re not going to do everything for you.

How old do you need to be?

The event is 18+ obviously. We operate a challenge-25 policy upon entry and at all bars. Please bring Photo ID with you. If you are fortunate to look younger than 25 you will be asked to provide photo ID to gain entry and to be served at the bar. Tom is bringing his ID just in case and he’s 38.

Is there a dress code?

Of course not. Wear whatever you want. We encourage you to buy merch (please by merch, we need to recoup some of our losses)

Saturday is fancy dress day (totally optional but strongly encouraged). The theme will be revealed soon.

Is the event outside?

This is a festival-style event and is open air so please dress accordingly and ensure you keep warm throughout. There is an indoor area and all the stages will be covered, but much of the space between stages is outdoors. It is also in the North of England so prepare for rain.

Can I bring a bag?

You can bring big bags onto the campsite to bring all your camping supplies etc.

You can bring a small bag into the main festival site, this will be searched upon entry. We class small bags as no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm (no bigger than an A4 sheet of paper).

We do not allow large bags into the festival site.

Can I bring a gas stove / BBQ / heater for our tent?

No. No cooking or fires of any kind are allowed on either the main site or campsite.

Can I bring camping chairs/umbrellas and blankets?

Camping chairs and flags are permitted on the campsite only, not the main festival site.

Other items not permitted on the main festival site:

Lanterns, Flares & Torches

Drinks

Food

Flags or Flag Poles

Banners

Illegal drugs or substances

Sharps (including nail files)

Laser Pens

Glass Bottles (including perfume)

Aerosols (including deodorant)

Animals

Large Bags & Rucksacks

Can we bring suncream with us?

Yes, but no glass bottles.

ACCOMMODATION

Can I camp at DeadMeet26?

Yes. BUT… You need to buy a weekend ticket with camping. Anybody without a camping ticket will not be allowed access to the campsite at any point.

The campsite is for tents only. Campervans are not allowed and will be turned away at the gates.

The campsite will be accessible from 9am on Friday 10th July.

We respectfully request that all tents are removed from the campsite 12pm (noon) on Sunday 12th July.

Please take away everything you came with when you leave. Don’t be a scruff.

Can I camp next to my car?

No.

We have separate car park and camping fields. You'll have to carry your stuff from one to the other. Don't worry though, these are not far apart.

Can I bring a campervan or caravan?

The kind of insurance we have doesn’t allow us to offer campervan or caravan tickets and therefore they are not permitted on site. Not even in the car park.

Can I stay off-site?

Of course you can. There are plenty of hotels in the surrounding areas if you need one. There are two travel lodges and two Premier Inns close in Northwich and Knutsford that are pretty cheap, plus hundreds of other options. Give it a google

TRAVEL

Can I park at DeadMeet?

Yes! We now have a car park. Car park passes are available to pre-book for £10. There may still be parking available on the day but it's not a guarantee so we advise pre-booking to avoid disappointment.

Is there public transport to get me there?

You can get public transport, however the stops aren’t conveniently close to the showground. The nearest public transport stops are

Bus:

Pear Tree Drive (3 miles)

Raynors Corner (2.5 miles)

Train:

Knutsford Train Station (6 miles / 11 min drive)

Can I get a taxi?

We strongly recommend pre-booking any taxis. These companies have not been vetted and verified by the festival, but local taxi numbers are:

Cheshire Car Taxi 01606 499 99

Knutsford Taxis 01565 740 540

AB Cabs Knutsford 07473 366 888

Or try Uber.

FOOD & DRINK

Can I bring food and alcohol in with me?

You can bring up to 18 cans OR 1 box of wine (up to 3L) OR 1 bottle of spirits (up to 1L - not glass - plastic or metal only) into the campsite ONLY

You can’t bring alcohol into the main festival site, but we do have fully stocked bars & our food offer is curated by local quality street food traders.

There are also soft drinks available to purchase at the bar and free drinking water is also available upon request.

Will there be food?

Yes, loads of food stands selling all sorts of food and drinks.

Will there be enough bars and ways to get a drink?

We've listened to your feedback from last year and we want to reassure everyone that we have improved the bar situation to reduce queues and make sure everyone has better access to food and beverage. We're delighted to be working with an external company that know what you guys are here for... And they are definitely gonna make that happen

What payment method does the bar accept?

The main bar takes payments via card or cash. Other concessions may vary.

What time does the bar shut?

The bars will close at midnight.

FACILITIES & SECURITY

Will there be showers?

Yes, there will be showers available on the campsite only. Please use them you smelly bastards.

Will there be toilets?

Yes. Obviously there will be toilets. What a stupid question.

Will there be security?

Yes. Security searches will be in operation at entry to both the campsite and the festival ground as per legal requirements and at the discretion of our external security company. Please make sure you have no prohibited items on you as this may slow down your entry and you may be refused entry.

Security will also be on site to keep everyone safe and make sure nobody is being a dick. If you see someone being a dick, let security or a staff member know.

What happens if I’m being a dick?

Anyone being unnecessarily dick-ish will be removed by security with no refunds. Don’t talk during the acts obviously as it’ll ruin it for everyone else. Have a laugh, but don’t be a cunt and you’ll be sound.
