Currer Ball
Currer Ball is a Glaswegian stand-up comedian based in London. Unconventional, not afraid to try different things but most of all, very funny.
He's been gigging for years in comedy clubs across the country and delivers one exquisite gag after another in a giddy, unique style.
Slightly mental...very funny....The Guardian
One to watch....Strathclyde Police
John Meagher
In 2022 John was runner up in the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year, before winning the Panel Prize at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe as part of “Best in Class” the working-class stand-up showcase. This success has gained John a following for his timely writing and bold performances and seen him recognised as one of Ireland’s top new comedians, and in demand as an important working-class voice. He has supported legendary Irish comedian Patrick Kielty on his recent 5 month long “Borderlines” tour and works at all the major UK and Irish Comedy Clubs. Before his life in stand-up comedy, John was a Martial Artist and fought for the Irish team at the World Karate Championships, as well as training for years in mixed Martial Arts – think Joe Rogan if he believed in vaccines.
“John is a very sharp comedian…with a subtlety to his stuff I didn’t have (in younger days)”
Patrick Kielty, Irish independent
“…it was like watching a young Irish Billy Connolly”
John Meagher (no relation!), The Irish Times
“Great timing, great presence and punchlines. A much needed fresh comic voice from Northern Ireland at a time when we most need to hear it.”
Jarlath Regan (An Irishman Abroad Podcast)
“Hilarious. Sharp. Poetic”
Leicester Square Theatre, London
“…grabbed the gig by the scruff of its neck with a loud, fast and punchy delivery.”
Steve Bennett @ Chortle
"A Compact, confident, powerful storyteller with a keen comic eye"
Bruce Dessau
