York-based Suspicious Liquid burst onto the scene only weeks after formation in early 2024. They fluidly blend psych, funk, and stoner rock with touches of a heavier sonic palette, which led them to victory at their local university battle of the bands. From King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard to Portishead, from Frank Zappa to Ween; the list of inspirations Suspicious Liquid draws upon are as eclectic as they are electric. Known for theatrical live shows verging on the ritualistic, Suspicious Liquid has recently set sights on the studio to record their first full-length project. Until then, Horoscope Holly marks the genesis of the band's original cuts, recorded at the University of York's very own Vanbrugh Garage.

Absinthe Green have been captivating audiences with their emotionally charged sound, fusing pop elements, aggressive guitars, groovy rhythms, and a versatile vocal range.
Genres blur and definitions falter when it comes to Absinthe Green. Whether you call them Alternative Metal, Hard Rock, or something else entirely, their music is a rich tapestry of influences and life experiences. A critic once described them as “a melodic storm of beauty and heartbreak, both ferocious and tender.” Soul-stirring vocals shift seamlessly between power and fragility, while skillful guitar work and infectious grooves underpin melodies that cut straight to the core.
Absinthe’s songwriting is raw and unflinching, revealing deep truths about love, pain, and redemption. Their lyrics explore life’s duality—where joy and sorrow, hope and despair coexist in an ever-shifting dance. The band’s debut album, Of Love and Pain, produced by renowned producer Hiili Hiilesmaa, will be released in 2025. It ventures into the contradictions of the human experience, where destruction and creation, light and darkness, merge in a symphony of emotional depth and power.
