Microsoft Store x London College of Fashion Present: The Future of Fashion

The flagship Microsoft Store in London has partnered with London College of Fashion, UAL, to offer an insider look at the role of tech in fashion through a bespoke curriculum of free workshops and events, running from Saturday 14th September to Sunday 15th September.

Microsoft Store is bringing fashion and tech to the high street for all its’ customers, with bespoke interactive workshops and exclusive panel discussions, each led by industry leading tutors and alumni from the prestigious London College of Fashion, UAL, including Head of Fashion Innovation Matthew Drinkwater and MA Fashion Entrepreneurship and Innovation Course Leader, Chitra Buckley – and anyone can take part.

To further celebrate the partnership, fans are invited to create their very own tote bag using Microsoft Surface devices, which will be printed instore for free! Customers can select one of four prints designed by LCF textile graduates – and customise to add their own style.

Matthew Drinkwater, Head of Fashion Innovation Agency, LCF commented: “We want to inspire people to think differently about the fashion industry. By creating a unique workshop programme, Microsoft Store and London College of Fashion, UAL is bringing people closer to the fashion industry and showcasing how cutting-edge technology such as Microsoft HoloLens can disrupt the industry as we know it. It’s an exciting opportunity to experience the future of fashion on our doorstep.”

To kick start the series of instore workshops, you can be one of the first to hear from industry experts on the innovative future of fashion and technology in an exclusive panel discussion hosted by London College of Fashion, UAL’s  Director of Business and Innovation, Linda Roberts.

Senior Store Manager John Carter commented: “Through unique retail experiences, Microsoft Store aims to bring people closer to a range of technologies, and the Microsoft Store x London College of Fashion Curriculum is just one example of how the flagship is the best place to experience all that’s possible with Microsoft.”
