Ah Fouk yes!!!
For our last dance of what has been incredible season we have the pleasure of bringing you two seriously funky fiends to encourage some midsummer movement!
Daniël Lesman & Junktion (Hans Peeman) are producers that are already admired individually and as a collaboration they are quite the team. They seamlessly bring together an infectious concoction of house, disco and whole a load of funk. Also, they are childhood pals! How great is that?
The harmony between the two Dutch chums is evident right from their first vinyl release as Fouk, on their very own Outplay records. Wonky in both sound and track-naming ‘Stuff Your Dad Liked’ and ‘Cat Lady’ made ears prick up all over and have been rinsed at many a Musical Medicine!
Deservedly, they gained the attention of Detroit Swindle, who signed them to their Heist imprint. On this, they released the absolute belter of an EP ‘Kill Frenzy’. This firmly established the duo as ones to watch and added to their swiftly growing fan-base.
The duo deal in both quality and quantity and have cooked up a whole host of jams with EP’s on Room With A View, The House of Disco and Razor-n-Tape and sous-cheffed some sizzling remix’s for the likes of Lay Far and Joey Negro!
The music of these two is something that MM team and crowd alike have been head-bopping, bouncing and boogieing to for some time now so it’s a going to be a real joy to welcome these cats to the tables!
See you in the dance! X
