A night of improvisational comedy, where anything can happen. 

Four comedians hate on topics suggested by, you, the audience. 

You can suggest any subject and the comedians compete to riff on it. What would you pick? .. sexual consent .. recycling .. the BBC .. GB News .. silent discos .. Stephen Hawking .. Palestinians .. Cockapoos .. Israelis .. train announcements? It's up to you!

Anarchic and surreal, this show gained a late night cult following at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. It had the audience on the edge of their seat as the comedians try to walk the line between funny and cancelled.

Darius Davies – your host for the evening

Darius cut his teeth in the comedy clubs of New York city. Due to “visa irregularities” Darius soon found himself back, and uncelebrated in London. He’s a distinct voice in a sea of ubiquity and fearless in his belief in what is funny and forging his own path. High energy, captivating and fuelled with passion, soul and wit.

Burt Williamson

Burt Williamson is a stand-up comedian and improviser. He’s had two critically acclaimed runs at the Edinburgh Fringe while also having self-produced his debut comedy hour 200 IQ Audience Only (No Munters). At once silly and serious, smart and stupid, Burt packs dense punchlines with know-it-all smarm and goofy charm to hilarious effect. At the forefront of a new and exciting generation of comics emerging from Bristol, Burt leads the charge on a new wave of talent in British comedy.

Aideen McQueen

Spontaneous (in the losing her keys rather the kitesurfing way), Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and, most importantly, side-splittingly funny.

About Comedy Unleashed

Having consistently sold out shows in London for the past 5 years, Comedy Unleashed brings more of its refreshing brand of stand-up comedy to the HiFi Club in Leeds.

Comedy Unleashed nights showcase comedians who have a spirit of exploration, are counter-cultural and eschew the bland and predictable. And, if a comedian gets cancelled, we like to put them on. The audience should be the only judge and if something is funny… it’s funny.

Doors: 6.30pm until 10:00pm with the first comedian onstage at 7.30pm. Please arrive at the venue by 7.00pm so you can get a drink and get sat down before the first act. If you turn up after 7.00pm you may have to wait until the next available interval to be allowed in.

Tickets are sold for the Comedy Night as an event and not for individual comedians. Line-ups are subject to change. All acts are confirmed at time of booking. Occasionally, acts may be replaced for reasons beyond our control. If this happens the act will be replaced with a suitable alternative. We do our best to keep the listings (on our calendar page) as up to date as feasibly possible with the current situation. Fancy dress is not permitted. At the discretion of management and security of The HiFi Club, same sex groups of 5 or more may be asked for a behavioural bond of £10 per person upon entry to ensure the smooth running of the comedy show. This behavioural bond will be returned at the end of the show as long as the rules of the venue have been adhered to.
