Incognito 7: Earth Crisis (LINE UP TBA) - 27th January 2017
In the year 2017 rainforests are melting, and the glaciers are getting cut down. There’s only one thing to do, and that is throw a crazy afternoon rave with the UK's most ecologically sound DJs and performers.
Incognito Radio has now nested in a new larger venue but all previous events have sold out long in advance, so get tickets fast to avoid disappointment!
The venue is kept a secret to protect it from the forces of darkness, but it’s in central Reading and is easily accessible. Make sure to include your number in the ticket form because the location address will be sent out two days in advance from our solar-powered rave phone.
Tarquin - Probably our current favourite DJ and eco-warrior, Tarquin’s due to be burning down the dance with his signature wonky anthems. Recently working with YGG and other grime stars to turn the genre on its head and DJing for crews like @Boxed, UNESCO, and Nervous Horizon on Radar Radio and Rinse FM it was only a matter of time before he hopped on the train to Royal Berkshire and joined us at Incognito. Check out his recent Boiler Room - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07iP5_YoFig
Majora (DJ/Producer) - Veteran Majora is returning to keep it real and keep it carbon neutral, fresh off the back of his massive Rio Citrus EP and a series of bangers for Roska’s Kicks and Snares label. He’ll be bringing his precision engineered tracks to the Incognito jungle, delivering an avalanche of funky, garage, rap and all sorts of madness to light up the rave. Jamie George - Starting his career as a t̶u̶r̶n̶t̶a̶b̶l̶i̶s̶t̶ environmentalist, Jamie George is one of Rinse’s original house DJs with countless high profile collaborations and solo releases. DJ, vocalist, and songwriter he’s got many a trick up his sleeve so watch out for his set, it’s going to be one to remember. BRAGA CIRCUIT - Braga Circuit’s productions are filled with dark, bittersweet melodies laid over thumping house beats, sounding like dusty time capsules to a time before hyper-polished soulless tunes ruled the airwaves. Getting plays from artists such as Mall Grab and spinning his captivating, euphoric tunes; it’s gonna be Greenpeace cards in the air for this one. Check his appearance on Wen & Parris’ Rinse FM show here: https://soundcloud.com/rinsefm/wenparris280416
Maribor - Taking Braga’s nostalgic-but-modern template and applying it to R’n’B and Hip-Hop jams, Maribor makes seductive collages with dancefloor shaking beats and sugary harmonies- check out his production of AJ Tracey’s breakout hit ‘Wifey Riddim’ if you don’t believe us. He and Braga Circuit will be rolling up on a tandem bicycle all the way from Margate to cut down their carbon footprint- but you’ll be okay to get the bus to our new RG1 venue. HOMES FOR AMERICA - Not a housing institute but actually one of the most promising young selectors on the scene, Homes For America is blessing us with his obscenely deep bag of tunes and an organic, bicycle powered mixer that he claims will make ‘every song vegan’. So you can’t knock his tree-hugging credentials, and you won’t be able to knock his set either, it’s one that we’re particularly looking forward to.
