Acoustic Night @ Crosfield Hall

On Saturday the 27th of April we will be bringing a collection of talented acoustic musicians from around the Southampton Area to Romsey. This special showcase will give a platform to deserving musicians and provide a chance for you to catch a proper music show in a relaxed and easy-going environment. All ticket money will used to pay the fee for hiring the hall with all the profits going to artists directly and equally. So grab a ticket and support local music.

This is a BYOB (Bring your own bottle) event, so feel free to bring along your favourite refreshments. Save a few £'s as you won't have to pay pub prices.

£8 Standard admission Tickets

£5 Concession Tickets (Over 65's, Students & unwaged)

Charlie Smith

My name might be common, but my style is alternative. I'm Charlie Smith a raw, honest, singer-songwriter from Hampshire, UK. I perform solo (Acoustic guitar + Vocals) and have experience playing & hosting my own shows at venues such as The Railway Inn, The Attic & The Arthouse. I've also worked with promoters such as Weekend Offender and DHP family to play gigs at venues such as Fifth Hants Volunteer Arms and The Grace. In October 2023 I embarked on my first solo tour of northern England.

Fragile Lucy

Get ready for something a bit different. With her funky flamenco style, indie, geek-rock tunes, quirky song lyrics and awesome voice. Fragile Lucy armed with a tiny instrument and a massive personality really is one of the most unique musical acts out there. Her most popular songs “Vegetarian Ham” and “Techno Teddy” are a big hit at festivals and gigs. You may have seen her busking around the South Coast or playing online in recent times. Her latest single “Crazy Bout You” has been featured on BBC Upload and other local radio stations. If you haven’t heard of this ukulele wizard before you’re gonna be blown away. Always a fun-filled, energetic performance from a truly talented and inspirational artist.

D’ Kenison

Ged, a singer-songwriter for over forty years and a published author with a series of books ‘Neander and the Dark Matter’. Over the years he has written music for his own and other bands, plus for two-stage shows performed in the Hoxton theatre, London.
With a blues/rock influence, D’ KenZion is a tilt of the soft cloth cap to the works of Charles Dickens. The songs whilst light and groovy, are a comment on the injustice in the world today and a tribute to the works of Mr D.

Simon Maggs

Indie - Folkie - (sometimes protest-y) tales. With lyrics influenced by likes of Billy Bragg, The Smiths, Frank Turner and I Am Kloot, Simon’s songwriting draws on the folk tradition of relatable real-life stories and contemporary social themes, occasionally with a kitchen sink drama edge, together with reflections on his northern upbringing.

Joey Vella

Toeing the line between chaos and beauty. Joey Vella, a Southampton-born and raised singer-songwriter, blends his love of Indie and Punk to deliver hard-hitting personal lyrics about his struggles with growing up, substance abuse and falling in love. After years of writing and singing in his room, inspired by the likes of Pete Doherty, Kurt Cobain and Matty Healy, Joey Vella is ready to make a name for himself in the music scene.
