After a barnstorming night on Saturday 21st September Trevor Nelson's old school party across two rooms 'Soul Nation' is back at Omeara on Saturday 16th November for our final party of 2019 in London (before New Years Eve)!

Trevor will be turning back time and playing #CLASSIC RNB soul & hip hop from the 80s / 90s and 00s!

Room 1 will be pure 00's R&B and hip-hop - think MTV LICK!

Room 2 is for the real lovers of original R&B and Soul from the 80's and 90's - if you're looking for somewhere you can hear Luther Vandross, Soul II Soul, Loose Ends and Blackstreet all in the same room then look no further!

SOUL NATION - what is it????

Soul Nation is the brainchild of legendary RNB DJ Trevor Nelson.  

Trevor Nelson has been a pioneer in championing urban music for over 30 years, from his days as a dj in Hackney sound system 'Madhatter', to his days as resident dj for Jazzie B and Soul II Soul at the Africa Centre, through to his MTV Lick show and parties, and his love of radio from the pirate days of Kiss, through to his shows on BBC Radio 1Xtra and BBC Radio 2, via BBC Radio 1.... so for a man so active in clubland, as his audience grew with him, he felt it was time to celebrate the music he had played over the years on the dancefloor so that like minded fans of the music could party to the greatest music ever made, which is where SOUL NATION was born.  

The Soul Nation concept was a way for music lovers who love the different eras of amazing soul & RNB to be able to come out and party with that soundtrack.  The first home for Soul Nation was the world renowned Jazz Cafe which started in 2012.  After 4 fabulously successful years when the Jazz Cafe closed Soul nation took a little holiday whilst in search of a new home.  At the same time Soul Nation began touring across the country with residencies in Manchester, Brighton, Birmingham and Leeds as well as one off parties in Glasgow, Liverpool etc In 2017  he discovered London's newest live music venue Omeara and fell in love with the space, sound and layout and decided it was the right time and place to bring back SOUL NATION to London for his new residency.... now 2 years strong into the residency, and with a NYE party in 2018, it's the permanent home for SOUL NATION... and the rest as they say is history!
