Richard Cowie, AKA The godfather of grime, Wiley is coming to Leeds. The British MC, songwriter, musician, record producer and DJ shot to fame in the early 2000’s with white record’s ‘Eskimo” and his collective projects with crew, Roll Deep. Since arguably inventing the Grime genre in the early 00’s, Wiley has devoted his life to grime. His new 11th Studio album “Godfather” rumoured his last, is his most impressive in years. So with this information enough and grime now dominating British culture, you would be mad to miss this show.
Nadia Rose, UK born rapper from Croydon released her debut EP Highly Flammable in January, 2017 following the successful singles ‘Station‘, ‘BOOM‘, and ‘D.F.W.T’. 2 years prior saw Rose working in a betting shop to make ends meet, whilst making studying for a degree. Known for her witty lyrics and don’t care attitude, saw her outshine her competitors to be chosen for BBC Sound of 2017 top 10. Now with a record deal at Sony and Killer Rhymes being played daily on Radio 1 and 1 Extra, her success is only set to grow!
67 are the rawest crew in UK rap. From South London, The collective is made up of rappers ASAP, LD, Dimzy, Monkey, SJ, and Liquez, each know for their distinctive ghostly flow. Their anthem “Take it There” and 'In Skengs We Trust’ mixtape only captured the attention of hip-hop fans everywhere, asking who are 67? Then like magic, 2016 saw their "Let's Lurk" track and video featuring rap lord Giggs saw them compared to the likes of Section Boys and has confirmed 67’s place in the British hip-hop world.
