KALIKO headline Oporto on the 3rd of December 2025.
Growing out of Nottingham’s live music scene, KALIKO have caught the eye with performances at Rescue Rooms, The Bodega, Dot to Dot & Beat the Streets Festival, with a refined and energetic stage show and an alt-rock sound that has drawn them comparisons to bands such as Foals and Talking Heads. With sharp, witty lyricism, similar to the likes of Yard Act, the band are fronted by enigmatic singer Elijah Pope. Their latest single 'Pureblue' discusses the burnout and struggle of working monotony and represents the bands own struggle to support themselves while perusing music.
They are joined by two local Leeds artists, CHAR & Isaac Jo
CHAR is an alternative indie/shoegaze artist, based in Leeds, with introspective lyricism and gritty vocal melodies, worthy of captivating all listeners. Influenced by the likes of Blondshell, Nieve Ella, Florence Road & Fletcher, she creating a genre bending fusion of indie-grunge components, and is one to watch amongst the lineup of new alternative artists.
Isaac Jo is a folk artist based in Leeds, who has recently performed at Hyde Park Book Club, and who is comparable to artists such as Nick Drake and John Martyn.
