Stand Up Comedy in Reading is back. Mates Rates Comedy is proud to present Comedy at The Taproom with Headliner Jake Lambert.

Mates Rates Comedy has teamed up with Double-Barrelled Brewery to bring you the best acts from the UK comedy scene.

We will have TV names, up and coming circuit comics and as always, you will be guided along by our trusty MC Carl Richard.

The show takes place at Double Barrelled Brewery between 8pm - 10pm (doors open 7:30pm).

Jake Lambert

Described as ‘a joke machine’ by The Telegraph, Jake Lambert is a rapidly rising stand-up known for his non-stop gag-filled storytelling. His online videos have racked up over 500 million views, building Jake a devoted fanbase.

Following three sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jake is currently on his very first ever-growing international tour with his show The Sunshine Kid. He will continue to tour across the UK and globally throughout 2025.

He has appeared on BBC’s Live at The Apollo, Comedy Central’s Live From The Comedy Store and Comedy Central Live, UKTV’s Rosie Jones’s Disability Comedy Extravaganza, and is a recurring guest on BBC’s The Apprentice: You’re Fired. Jake also co-hosts the hit podcast Save It For The Podcast with comedy pal George Lewis.

Jake’s writing credits span a range of top UK shows, including The Ranganation, The Royal Variety Performance, The Apprentice: You're Fired, Bake Off: An Extra Slice, Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Netflix’s Flinch, and more.

He has supported comedy heavyweights like Michael McIntyre, Jack Dee, Romesh Ranganathan, and Kerry Godliman on arena and theatre tours worldwide.

Greg Winfield

Greg Winfield is a Stand-up comic, writer and actor living in Bristol, UK. He performs across the UK comedy circuit and has written for Mock the Week (BBC) and Roast Battle (Comedy Central). His online content has more than 40 million views across Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube. His 2025 show ‘Whatever You say’ will be touring the UK and his debut comedy special will be premiered on YouTube in early 2025.


Micah Hall

Hailing from South London, Micah Hall has quickly become a rising star in the comedy scene with his unique blend of hard-hitting honesty and laid-back humour. He regularly performs at the UK’s most legendary comedy venues including Up The Creek, The Comedy Store and West End Comedy, solidifying his status as one of the most exciting new talents in the industry.

Micah has performed stand up on BAFTA winning The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan and won a much coveted place on the annual Pleasance Comedy Reserve at the Edinburgh Fringe. He also joined Babatunde Aléshé as support on his smash hit nationwide tour, Babahood.
