Love Thy Neighbour Presents:
NO FRIENDS IN THE INDUSTRY
2.30pm – Special Guests
3.30pm – Special Guests
4.30pm – His His
His His is the recording project of Toronto-based artist Aidan Belo. He combines elements of Greenwich Village-inspired folk, contemporary indie folk, coupled with low fidelity analog production to create something that sounds honest and melancholic. Since the first His His release in late 2020, this project has generated more than 1,000,000 streams across Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music, and has been featured SiriusXM’s The Verge and CBC Music. Everything was recorded in the empty space of an old wood barn on his family’s farm which has been temporarily converted into a makeshift studio, where everything is recorded entirely to 1⁄4 inch tape and cassette.
5.30pm – Home Counties
7.30pm- GAL GO
8.30pm – Really Big Really Clever
Brighton-based quartet really big really clever have quickly cemented themselves as a vital force in the UK emo and grunge scene. Since their explosive debut in 2023, the band has turned heads with their dynamic sound and relentless energy. Since their formation, really big really clever have played and toured alongside notable acts like Tigercub, Sweet Pill, Have Mercy, Gaffa Tape Sandy, Church Girls, and Family Dinner, solidifying their reputation as one of the most exciting live bands in the scene. With whispers of a second full length album on the horizon, really big really clever are poised to take their sound to even greater heights.
9.30pm – Jools
To experience Jools in their most chaotic and unpredictable full flight is, the band were once told, to not know whether you are about to be kicked in the face or kissed on the cheek. Even that, however, feels like an understatement. At any moment the Jools experience, on stage and on record, can turn on a sixpence from that of unbridled rage at the world to a celebration of the beauty that can still be found hidden in its murky corners. The punk rock of Jools is at once visceral and violent, cathartic and confrontational, and at the next exultant and exhilarating. Jools is duality by design, where contradiction is empowerment harnessed as a force for progress, sonically and societally.
10.30pm – Parker Fans
Dutch trio Parker Fans channel the energy of your favorite cassette mixtape, translating it to a boisterous pop sound that leans on the foundation of drum samples, synths and ultra groovy bass to shuffle styles with a magpie’s spirit. The main directive is simple and altruistic: get people to dance their bleeding hearts out.
