New Adelphi Comedy Night

The award-winning improvisers from CSzUK are back for a night of improv, stand-up and more! In the first half, improvisers and guest students from the university’s comedy, writing and performance degree will get you going with gags and games inspired by your suggestions. In the second half, it’s an open mic with stand-up, songs, sketches and more featuring student comedians and guest performers. Previous line-ups have included award-winning student stand-ups developing material and launching their careers. Don't miss your opportunity to catch the top talents of tomorrow... today!

At just £4 a ticket, it’s the biggest bargain in comedy and there are plenty of opportunities for students to get involved. Want to perform in the open mic? Contact Brainne Edge at B.Edge@salford.ac.uk.

Winners – Best Alternative Act – North West Comedy Awards 2022

CSzUK have been entertaining audiences across the UK and beyond since 2001 with their quick-witted brand of gags, games, sketches and songs inspired by your suggestions. Featuring several Salford alumni, this team of improvisers and stand-up comedians can’t wait to bring back the New Adelphi Comedy Night and help develop the new voices of British comedy.

WARNINGS: Ages 18+. Audience interaction and participation. Strong language. Due to the improvised nature of some of the material there is the possibility – though slim – that there may be some emotional triggers.

ADMISSION: Pay What You Can.

Pay What You Can is an ‘honesty box’ for the theatre. We and the artists will continue to programme and produce high quality events and ask you to pay what you can afford.

As a guide, for those in full time employment we would appreciate you paying £6. We also understand people's income can be precarious, hence the lower price options. All revenue from ticket sales for events at New Adelphi Theatre will always go back to support professional artists, through residencies, commissions, touring work or for more bespoke projects where the student experience is enhanced through co-creation with arts professionals. We thank you for all your continued support.

Please note all bookings come with a 50p booking fee. Please note that all tickets are for unallocated seating.

Please note: checking the Wheelchair User question will also reserve a free seat for an essential companion.

If you require limited mobility access (step-free), please let a member of staff know upon arrival.

Accessibility is extremely important to us at the New Adelphi Theatre. If you have any accessibility requirements, please email Hannah at the box office at h.c.briggs@salford.ac.uk.

When you arrive, the Box Office only needs to take the ticketholder’s name to check you in, however we can also scan any printed ticket or e-ticket you may present.
