MacInnes Whisky x The Angel Hotel – Exclusive Bury RUFC Partner Event

On Tuesday, 10 February, join the MacInnes Whisky and Bury RUFC teams for an exclusive Partners & Members whisky tasting, held in The Vaults of The Angel Hotel in Bury St Edmunds. Back by popular demand, following a highly successful evening in 2024.

For those who attended before, expect more drams of premium single-malt and great conversation. For all our other partners and members, join us for an extraordinary whisky tasting event you won't forget.

We've arranged a truly unique setting for our tasting: The Vaults – the hotel's incredible and cosy cellars – a series of 12th-century cellars steeped in history and full of atmosphere, once part of the medieval undercroft.

Itinerary:

• 5:45 – 6 p.m. Arrive at The Angel Hotel.

Head to The Vaults bar at 6 p.m. for a welcome drink of prosecco or a non-alcoholic equivalent.

• 6:30 p.m. Take your seats in the tasting room for a whisky tasting to remember.

You'll be transported to the Highlands of Scotland and beyond, through our fun and informative whisky tasting. You can expect fine single malt Scotch whiskies, a prize for one lucky winner, and tax-free opportunities available for all.

• 8 p.m. As the tasting ends, you might buy a drink in the hotel bar to continue your conversation.

You will have the opportunity to learn about delicious single-malt Scotch whiskies from a variety of the Scottish whisky-making regions. So be ready to indulge your taste buds with a range of flavours and aromas as you sip on some of the finest single-malt Scotch.

The MacInnes team will also share some insights into the potential advantages of owning a whisky cask, including its tax-free status.
