Kingbird

Kingbird are a blues rock band from Leicester. Formed in 2015, they have already created a name for themselves locally with their fantastic mix of cleverly arranged covers, unusual mash ups and well written originals. 
Amanda, Lex, Gary and Ritchie have years of experience between them  and each bring their own individual  style and musical tastes to the band which, when put together, create a  raw, edgy sound unlike any other. 
 They pride themselves on pushing boundaries and delivering a top class performance with a few surprises along the way. 
Taking inspiration from legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Led Zeppelin to name a few, Kingbird add their own unique twist to classic songs such as Whole Lotta Love , Do You Read Me and Crosstown Traffic, as well as re-working contemporary hits and giving them a brand new bluesy feel.
Combined with their ridiculously catchy originals, such as ‘ One Way Train ‘ and ‘ Prisoner of Love’ this band are one of a kind and definitely not to be missed!
