BURNING HOUSE

Fusing elements of shoegaze and decade-spanning American Indie (Elliott Smith, Swans, Deerhunter, Teenage Fanclub, Slint, Pixies), Burning House's sound is defined by multi-layered piercing guitar rhyhtms, sophisticated melodic arrangements, and tempos spanning introspective, stripped down pieces through to distinctly upbeat, frenetic songs.

After gingerly approaching BBC 6 Music's indie doyen Steve Lamacq with a 4-track demo while in Southampton, Lamacq was so enthralled that he chose Burning House to appear on 6 Music's new bands line-up.

Burning House have opened for the legendary Wire, after earning the appreciation of Colin Newman. The trio's euphoric sound has also led to playing all over the south coast with the likes of Moon Duo, Shonen Knife, Is Bliss and Kagoule.

KILL COMMITTEE

From the garage underground of the sixties, the best bits of post-punk, and the definitive list of the only bands that have ever mattered. Kill Commiittee.

The beige. The homogenised culture. The daily assault of meaningless celebrity and political bleakness drowning your soul. This has all become the accepted norm. But we have to remember that it hasn’t always been like this.

We have to acknowledge that people haven’t always cut out their tongues and taken their caps off to the baying herd of grubby, self-serving politicians and businessmen. We don’t have to scrabble up out of the dirt, hoisting ourselves into commuter flats. And we definitely don’t have to soundtrack all this with generic, soul-crushing, committee created music.

We have to kill that.

We have to give birth to ideas, rip out the grey, and we need to get back to hope.

Everything stolen from the provincial garage underground of the sixties, the frenzied, blood splattered best bits of post-punk, the definitive list of the only bands that have ever mattered.

That’s what Kill Committee have done. They even took a vote on it.

ADAM & ELVIS

At the core of the band are the Malone brothers, Pat and Tom who construct songs that are equally as melodic as they are whacky. Sharp guitars, highly driven bass lines and synthesizers are their tools and combined with lyricist Pat’s love for comedy and horror, much like his heroes Leonard Cohen and Bukowski, ADAM & ELVIS deliver great blend of fast paced, thought provoking and ultimately catchy music.

The live shows combine a love for delectable walls of sound and a natural primitive punk energy. Live highlights so far have included supporting 60 legends The Zombies, Splashh, The Correspondents, playing three separate sets at Y-Not Festival and several shows for BBC introducing Berkshire as well as many other shows around the south of England.
