Smokin' Roses bring you a brilliant night of talented songwriting and storytelling from Elliot Porter, Chris Vince and Kate Thomas plus some special guests tbc at the beautiful Folklore Rooms in Brighton.

With a mixture of folk/pop and gypsy jazz it promises to be an eclectic night and one not to be missed.

Elliot Porter
Elliot has a strong connection to Brighton having performed there on tour a number of times and has actually written a song about the city and filmed a video there in 2019.He mixes indie folk and Americana influences to create a well-rounded and melodic sound which has seen him tour the UK on two occasions, release music that has been played on BBC Radio 2 and work with artists such as Frank Turner, Toploader and The Alabama 3 amongst others.

Chris Vince
Chris has just released his excellent EP 'Long Distance' to rave reviews and a show at the Brighton Unitarian Church.His songwriting borrows from 70's influences and modern songwriters such as Ben Folds, creating an engaging sound.

Kate Thomas
Eclectic Brighton-based singer who made her name in London area and blends Gypsy Folk influences with Jazz and powerful vocals.
