Come and join us for our monthly bachata workshop with Ehab. The goal of this workshop is to learn and practice some of the foundational techniques of sensual bachata.

We will work with musicality and understanding bachata music on a deeper level. We will work on practical tips that will help take your musicality to the next level! We will NOT be learning only specific moves to fit certain sections of the music but rather give you the tools to express the music in your own unique way! This workshop is suitable for all levels.

WORKSHOP FOCUS

★ Bachata Music:

We will learn briefly about bachata music history. Then we will cover bachata music instruments, what makes a song a bachata song and why knowing this is very important to be a better dancer.

★ Bachata Musicality Intro:

Here, we will cover bachata music sections and how that relates to the music and the dancing itself. Concepts like music sections, phrasing, bars and more will be covered. The focus will be on the practical aspects of these theoritical concepts.

★ Bachata Musicality Practice:

We will apply what we have learned and practice it all together

Ehab has been dancing since 2015 when he discovered salsa. Shortly after, he transitioned to Bachata, his newfound passion. He learned extensively for a few years all over the UK and abroad under international teachers. He then co-founded Bachata Sabor and started teaching in York for a few years. He has taught in various cities outside of York. He also DJs in popular SBK nights across Leeds, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham and Sheffield. He's also the co-founder of new bachata parties in Leeds!
