Rond Point

Rond Est Le Point. Where dancers and musicians rendez-vous.

The Nouteka Collective, curators of Blended Groove Sessions, bring to you : Rond Point.

Rond Point is a space for dancers and musicians to come together to create, develop their skills and most importantly have fun!

The event starts with a body and movement workshop led by our professional dancers and ends in a freestyle dance jam session.

We welcome dancers of all styles, backgrounds and abilities. You do not need to prepare anything so come as you are, dressed to impress, but above all comfortable.

The dancers will be backed by DJ sets, musicians and live beatmakers. All musicians and vocalists present at the event are more than welcome to come on stage and take part in the Jam, using any of the available instruments.

Join us on every other Sunday from 4pm at Well Seasoned in Peckham Levels.

*** From 4pm to 6pm : THE LAB

Body and movement workshop hosted and led by Marie Mence, featuring live musicians improvising to the dancer's movements. Open to dancers of all styles and levels!

*** From 6pm to 8pm : THE JAM

Freestyle Dance Jam, hosted by Hopesigh, and backed by the same crew of DJs, beatmakers and musicians. Let yourself go, dance with your friends or join in a cypher ... anything goes!

The hosts will be Marie-Astrid Mence, Jordan John-Hope and Jeremy Otari.

* Marie is a former student of the Higher National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris and Alvin Ailey School. Marie joined Ballet Black in 2014 and Phoenix Dance Company in 2015 and she is currently Senior Artist for Ballet Black.
