Cigarettes and Black Coffee

New Adelphi Theatre

Dive Theatre presents Cigarettes and Black Coffee

What does it mean to be cool? Who makes what cool? Am I cool?

Up until the present day, being cool was breaking the mould with the advent of Hippie, Punks, and Rockers. But in 2023, every person is fighting for that individuality, that essence of self.

In Cigarettes and Black Coffee, six unique explorations of "coolness" are shown, from dates to tattoos, from D&D to heartbreak. Come sit back with a cigarette and a black coffee (NO SMOKING IN THE THEATRE).

Starring Bradley Shore, Matthew Hines, Amy Woods, Hannah Hargreaves, Beth Martin, Daisy Jennings, Amber Hampson

Admission: Pay What You Can

Pay What You Can is an ‘honesty box’ for the theatre. We and the artists will continue to programme and produce high quality events and ask you to pay what you can afford.

As a guide, for those in full time employment we would appreciate you donating between £5 and £10. We also understand people's income can be precarious, hence the lower price options. All revenue from ticket sales for events at New Adelphi Theatre will always go back to support professional artists, through residencies, commissions, touring work or for more bespoke projects where the student experience is enhanced through co-creation with arts professionals. We thank you for all your continued support.

Please note all bookings and donations come with a 50p booking fee.

Latecomers are permitted to this performance.

For students on Performance courses, please check Blackboard for information about ticket discounts.

Please note: checking the Wheelchair User option will also reserve a free seat for an essential companion.

If you require limited mobility access (step-free), please let a member of staff know upon arrival.

Accessibility is extremely important to us at the New Adelphi Theatre. If you have any accessibility requirements, please email Hannah at the box office at h.c.briggs@salford.ac.uk.

When you arrive, the Box Office only needs to take the ticketholder’s name to check you in, however we can also scan any printed ticket or e-ticket you may present.
